Khalid Yero is a Nigerian born entrepreneur, public speaker, and community leader driven by a mission to transform his region from a hub of job seekers into a thriving ecosystem of innovators and job creators.

His entrepreneurial spirit was ignited early. Inspired by his father, a business owner whose discipline and leadership he admired. Khalid started his first ventures in secondary school, buying video games for classmates and earning a profit, later moving on to configuring smartphones and installing apps for peers during his High School. These small beginnings taught him the value of initiative, service, and seizing opportunities.

Immediately After completing his NYSC, Khalid didn’t hesitate when his co-founder invited him to Gombe to start Dopals Technologies. From that leap of faith came a growing portfolio of ventures, including D-Rydes Mobility, Humfo Consult and other failed ventures, all aimed at identifying problems and solving them thereby creating economic opportunities and empowering local communities.

Khalid is known for his relentless energy for progress and problem solving Guided by the principles of creating value, taking risks, and embracing both success and failure, he approaches leadership with warmth, authenticity, and a commitment to excellence.

Under Dopals Technologies, Khalid also launched Pitch-IT, a flagship program designed to empower aspiring and early-stage entrepreneurs with training, mentorship, and grant funding, helping them kickstart their startup journeys and build sustainable ventures.

His impact has been recognized through multiple awards, including the Digital Economy Promotions Award (Northeast) from NITDA during the 2022 Digital Nigeria Conference, Emerging First Runner-Up of the iHatch Startup Incubation Program (Cohort 3) and pocketing a $12,000 grant as for D-Rydes and other notable awards and recognition.

Beyond his ventures, Khalid has mentored several innovators including high school girls in the National Girls in ICT Competition three times, each time seeing his mentees win regional competitions and place among the Top 5 nationally.

Khalid is a public speaker who delivers engaging talks on startups, entrepreneurship, digital skills, self-development, and leadership. He has shared his insights on various platforms, including TEDx, inspiring audiences with a warm and motivating tone that drives them to take action
